Russian Drone Strikes Kherson Monastery, Killing Monk, Injuring Four
A Russian drone struck the St. Gregory Bizyukivsky Monastery in Beryslav district, Kherson Oblast, around 15:00 on September 19, killing a 71-year-old monk (known as monk Moisei, the monastery's oldest resident) and injuring four other monks aged 51, 53, 51, and 31 with blast and mine-related injuries. Monastery buildings were damaged. Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin said Russian troops attacked 43 settlements across the region over the prior 24 hours, killing 3 people (including the monk) and wounding 9, including a child; damage included a high-rise building, 16 private homes, a gas station, a farm building and a gas pipeline.
