Ukraine Launches 350+ Drone Attack Toward Moscow Region

| Ukraine

Ukraine launched more than 350 drones toward the Moscow region overnight from September 17 into September 18, in one of the largest such attacks on the Russian capital in years, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who said the barrage ran from roughly 8 p.m. on September 17 to 7 a.m. the next morning. Sobyanin said 64 drones were destroyed on approach to Moscow; Russian officials did not release information on damage caused by debris. The strike was part of Ukraine's ongoing long-range campaign against Russian military-industrial and infrastructure targets in response to continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, including the same day's strikes on Zaporizhstal and Zhytomyr Oblast.
