Ukrainian Drones Destroy Wildberries Warehouse in Tambov Region; 3 Killed Across Russia
An overnight Ukrainian drone strike on August 26 destroyed a Wildberries logistics center in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, roughly 500km southeast of Moscow — Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said about 100,000 square meters of the facility were 'completely destroyed by fire,' the equivalent of 14 football pitches. It was the second strike on the facility since a July attack. At least 3 people were reportedly killed across Russia in the broader overnight campaign: a man and a 14-year-old in Lipetsk Oblast from a fire sparked by a falling drone, and a woman in Belgorod Oblast. President Zelensky said the strikes were part of a 16-target overnight campaign against Russian oil, logistics, and military infrastructure, part of Ukraine's stated policy of pushing 'the cost of the war for the aggressor' higher.
