Jet-Powered Russian Drone Strikes Residential Kharkiv, Injuring Eight

A Russian jet-powered 'Shahed' drone struck a residential area of Kharkiv's Osnovianskyi district in the early hours of August 23, injuring eight people — five women aged 23 to 74, two men aged 28 and 38, and a 15-year-old boy who suffered an acute stress reaction. The strike sparked fires across two private houses and an outbuilding, burning roughly 250 square meters; nearby homes and a vehicle were also damaged. Emergency services extinguished the blaze.
