Survey: Gen Z Far More Likely Than Other Generations to Report Increased Belief in Aliens After UAP Coverage

A Talker Research survey found 37% of Americans say the recent wave of UFO/UAP news coverage has increased their belief in extraterrestrial life, rising to 54% among Gen Z respondents. The same survey found 60% of Americans believe governments know more about UAP than they have disclosed, and 45% think society would be prepared if alien life were confirmed. The findings echo a separate Disclosure Foundation-commissioned F'inn poll (fielded June 5-9, 2026, 303 US adults) that found 84% of Americans want more government disclosure on UAP — including 89% of Republicans and 88% of Democrats — while only 21% trust the federal government's UAP statements specifically (versus 50% for NASA and 41% for the scientific community).
