PM Anutin Visits Disputed Hill 500 at Chong An Ma, Cambodia Calls It Sovereignty Breach

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited Thai troops at Hill 500 near the Chong An Ma crossing in Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province -- the site where a Thai soldier lost his leg to a landmine on August 17. Thai officials said the visit stayed within Thai-administered territory and conformed to the December 27, 2025 Joint Statement of the 3rd Special GBC Meeting. Cambodia disputes the location entirely, calling it 'An Seh' within Choam Ksan district of its own Preah Vihear province, and maintains the area has been under illegal Thai military occupation since 2025.
