Cambodia Files Formal Protest Over Anutin's Visit to An Seh Border Area

Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a formal protest against PM Anutin Charnvirakul's August 23 visit to the border area it calls An Seh, characterizing it as an unauthorized attempt to assert an illegitimate claim over Cambodian sovereign territory. The ministry said 'no legal rights can arise from such unlawful acts, and the visit cannot legitimize Thailand's illegal occupation,' adding that 'borderlines must not be changed by force.' Cambodia called on Thailand to cease activities in the area to reduce tensions and reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the dispute through international law and bilateral agreements.
