Chinese Embassy Denies Accompanying Hotel Owner to Thma Da Border

The Chinese embassy in Cambodia denied Thai media reports that its officials had traveled with the Heng Fang Hotel's Chinese owner to the Thma Da border area to inspect the property he alleges Thai troops occupied and looted. Chinese Ambassador Wang Wenbin said: 'The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia declares that the above report is untrue and has not sent any personnel to the above-mentioned Cambodia-Thailand border area recently,' and urged media to 'carefully verify the sources of news and not readily believe or circulate unverified information.'
