TSMC August Revenue Hits Record NT$514.8B, Up 53.3% YoY on AI Chip Demand
TSMC reported August 2026 consolidated revenue of NT$514.81 billion (~$16.3-16.35 billion) on September 10, 2026 — up 53.3% year-over-year and 10.1% from July, the first time monthly revenue has broken the NT$500 billion mark and the company's fourth consecutive month of record revenue. The surge is driven by relentless AI chip demand, with 5nm, 4nm and 3nm nodes running at full capacity; TSMC held a 72.5% global foundry market share in Q2 2026 versus Samsung Foundry's 5.9% and SMIC's 5.4%. Revenue for the first eight months of 2026 reached NT$3.387 trillion, up 39.3% year-over-year. TSMC guided Q3 2026 revenue of $44.6-45.8 billion and separately advanced a next-generation chipmaking partnership with ASML targeting high-volume production for advanced nodes from 2030 onward.
