No Hazardous API Readings Nationwide, but Sarawak Still Worst-Hit as of Sept 10

No monitoring station nationwide recorded a hazardous (300+) API reading as of 9am on Sept 10, continuing the improvement since Serian's Sept 4-5 peak above 500. Eight Sarawak areas remained in the unhealthy band that morning: Sarikei (194), Serian district police headquarters (183), Samarahan (180), Kuching (171), Samalaju (164), Sri Aman (157), Sibu (155) and Mukah (154). By 6pm the same eight areas were still unhealthy — Serian (183), Sarikei and Samarahan (179 each), Kuching (177), Samalaju (165), Sri Aman (158), Sibu and Mukah (155 each) — alongside three Peninsular Malaysia readings: Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur (168), Pasir Gudang, Johor (124) and Larkin, Johor (110). No area recorded very unhealthy air quality. Nationwide, 52 areas registered moderate air quality and five recorded good readings.
