No Hazardous API Readings Nationwide as Serian Eases to 213, Still Sarawak's Worst

No monitoring station nationwide recorded a hazardous (300+) API reading on Sept 9, a day after Serian briefly spiked back to a hazardous 302. Serian's own reading eased through the day — 212 at 8am, up to 241 by 10am, back down to 213 (very unhealthy) by 4:30pm — remaining Sarawak's worst. Eight other Sarawak areas stayed in the unhealthy band that afternoon: Samarahan (186), Kuching (183), Sarikei (174), Miri Industrial Training Institute (166), Samalaju (165), Sri Aman (159), Bintulu (157) and Mukah (151). Nationwide, 31 areas registered moderate air quality and five recorded good readings.
