Drone Strike Near Sudan-Chad Border Kills 4, Injures Many
A drone originating from Sudan struck near the Sudan-Chad border region, killing at least 4 people and injuring many more. Separately, the SAF cleared three SPLM-N al-Hilu camps directly south of Kurmuk in Blue Nile State, making territorial gains near the Ethiopian border as it countered an RSF and SPLM-N al-Hilu offensive in Blue Nile State that had been underway since late January 2026. OHCHR warned of a surge in drone warfare spiralling across Sudan's borders with serious risk of regional escalation.
