Lee Jae-myung's Approval Rating Hits Record Low of 40%

A Gallup Korea poll of 1,001 adults conducted September 1-3 put President Lee Jae-myung's approval at 40% (down 2 points from the previous week) and disapproval at 51% (up 1 point) — both the worst marks since he took office in June 2025. Real estate policy was the top reason cited by disapprovers (23%), followed by economic/livelihood concerns (11%) and personnel appointments (9%), the latter linked to Lee's recent six-minister Cabinet reshuffle.
