Three boat strikes kill 11 in Pacific and Caribbean

US Southern Command carried out three lethal strikes on small vessels in the eastern Pacific and Caribbean in a single day, killing 11 people SOUTHCOM said were engaged in narcotics smuggling. The strikes were part of Operation Southern Spear, the kinetic campaign that would become the operational backbone of the coalition founded weeks later; the campaign has killed at least 190 people in more than 50 strikes since September 2025.
