Houthi Drone Strike Hits Aramco's Jazan Refinery
A Houthi drone struck Saudi Aramco's 400,000 bpd Jazan refinery on the Red Sea coast, sparking a fire that Aramco firefighting teams brought under control by dawn; the Saudi Energy Ministry reported no injuries. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree called it a 'precise' strike carried out in response to alleged Saudi violations of Yemeni airspace. It was the second reported Houthi strike on the Jazan complex in under two weeks, after a July 27 attack allegedly damaged the facility's gasification unit and tank farm, underscoring the growing risk to Saudi oil infrastructure from the Houthis' declared Red Sea blockade.
