Houthi Attack on Najran Wounds 11 Civilians, Highest Toll in Four Years

Houthi projectiles struck the southern Saudi border city of Najran, wounding 11 civilians — seven Saudis, one Yemeni, two Egyptians and one Pakistani national, including a 4-year-old child who suffered second-degree burns. The Saudi-led coalition called it a violation of international law, saying the Houthis 'carried out these terrorist attacks using indiscriminate shelling against civilian objects.' It was the highest civilian toll inside the Kingdom in more than four years of conflict. The attack coincided with simultaneous Houthi strikes on Yemeni government forces in Marib and Hadhramaut that killed dozens of troops, and came the same day Saudi Arabia signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement with Pakistan and Turkey.
