The call focused on ongoing efforts to enhance regional security and stability amid the fragile Iran ceasefire situation. Saudi-Qatari relations have significantly normalized since the lifting of the Saudi-led blockade of Qatar in January 2021, and both countries have been coordinating Gulf Cooperation Council responses to the Iran war. Qatar's unique diplomatic position — maintaining relations with both Iran and the US, and hosting the Al Udeid Air Base — makes Qatari-Saudi coordination particularly significant during this period.
