FAMa Airstrike Kills Dozens of Militants Southeast of Kidal — Operation Dugukoloko
The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), operating under Operation 'Dugukoloko' (ground phase active March 21–April 3), conducted an airstrike on a militant gathering southeast of Kidal on April 2. FAMa reported destroying several dozen militants, approximately 10 motorcycles, and drone equipment. The operation targeted suspected JNIM positions in the Kidal theater — the same region where the FLA has been conducting a parallel drone campaign against FAMa/Africa Corps positions. The Dugukoloko operation marked a significant FAMa offensive push in the Kidal region, combining air and ground elements in a sustained 13-day campaign. Africa Corps air assets (including Su-25 ground attack aircraft and Ka-52 helicopter gunships) provided air support. Independent verification of casualty claims is not possible due to media access restrictions in the Kidal theater; Africa Corps and FAMa casualty figures are not disclosed.
