Malian FAMa Neutralizes Militants in Sikasso and Ségou Regions

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) conducted two large-scale coordinated counter-terrorism operations on March 22. In the Tabakoro area of the Sikasso region, a strategic ambush based on intelligence resulted in multiple militants neutralized and weapons seized. In the Diura area of the Ségou region, a reconnaissance mission located a group of militants on motorcycles under vegetation cover; over ten fighters were neutralized in an airstrike and their material base destroyed. FAMa's general staff declared that forests would no longer serve as safe havens for terrorist groups.
