Saratov refinery struck a second time in a week — ELOU-AVT-6 unit and pipeline hit

Ukraine's General Staff confirmed a second drone strike on the Saratov oil refinery overnight on Sept 11, just three days after the Sept 8 strike on the same plant. The attack reportedly damaged the ELOU-AVT-6 primary crude distillation unit and a section of the refinery's main pipeline; fires were reported on site with the extent of damage still being assessed. The facility, which processes roughly 7 million tonnes of crude annually, supplies fuel to Russian military forces as well as the civilian market. No casualties were reported.
