Deep strike halts Omsk refinery, Russia's largest
A Ukrainian long-range drone strike — reportedly by special operations forces, 2,500 km from the front — hit the Gazprom Neft-owned Omsk refinery on July 6, 2026, striking the ELOU-AVT-11 primary distillation unit and the CDU-10 unit (38% of throughput). Omsk is Russia's largest refinery, processing about 440,000 barrels/day and normally producing ~5 million tons of gasoline and 8 million tons of diesel a year; it lost roughly three-quarters of its production capacity and halted operations the next day.
