ONPE reaches 100% count: Fujimori and Sánchez confirmed for June 7 runoff

| Peru

Peru's ONPE (National Electoral Office) announced the complete 100% vote count from the April 12 general election, confirming Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular) at 17.19% and Roberto Sánchez (Juntos por el Perú) at 12.04% as the two candidates advancing to the June 7 presidential runoff. Rafael López Aliaga (Renovación Popular) finished a narrow third at approximately 11.91%, roughly 21,000 votes behind Sánchez. López Aliaga subsequently faced a criminal complaint from the Public Ministry for alleged incitement of civil disorder, tied to his threat of 'civil insurgence' and his offer of 20,000 soles to anyone aiding his fraud case. Polls ahead of the runoff showed a virtual tie between Fujimori and Sánchez at approximately 38% each.
