Pakistan Confirms Rs 17.1 Trillion Federal Budget for FY2026-27 to Be Presented June 10
Deputy PM and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that Pakistan's federal budget for fiscal year 2026-27 will be presented to the National Assembly on June 10, 2026. The proposed budget of Rs 17.1 trillion targets 4.1% GDP growth, Rs 15.267 trillion in Federal Board of Revenue tax collection, and projects average inflation of 8.4% — reflecting IMF program constraints and inflationary pressures from the Iran-Israel conflict driving up fuel costs. The Economic Survey 2025-26 is scheduled for release on June 9. The budget must satisfy IMF benchmarks under the ongoing Extended Fund Facility and Resilience and Sustainability Facility programs.
