Balochistan Liberation Army's Majeed Brigade deployed suicide bomber Bilal Shahwani, who drove an explosives-laden vehicle into a shuttle train near Chaman Phatak, Quetta, at approximately 8:00 a.m. The train was transporting Pakistani Army personnel and their families from the cantonment to connect with the Jaffar Express. At least 47 people were killed — including 20 soldiers — and 98 were injured. Three coaches overturned and nearby residential buildings were damaged.
