| October 7

On April 25, 2026 — the 198th day of the October 10, 2025 ceasefire — Israeli forces killed multiple Palestinians across northern and central Gaza. In the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, Bahjat Abu Al-Eish was shot in the head by Israeli forces in the al-Houja area and died of his wounds. In Beit Lahia, also in northern Gaza, Alaa Ahmad succumbed to wounds sustained in a prior Israeli airstrike on the Beit Lahia Project area. In central Gaza west of Deir al-Balah, a child named Duaa Muhammad Suleiman Rahim was shot by Israeli forces. The incidents occurred on the same day Gaza held its first municipal elections in 20 years. The cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023 reached at least 72,585 killed and 172,370 injured as of April 25, 2026, per the Gaza Health Ministry and WAFA Palestinian News Agency. The total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire since the October 10, 2025 ceasefire continued to mount, with ongoing IDF operations across multiple sectors of the Strip despite the declared truce. The Gaza Government Media Office has documented over 2,400 Israeli ceasefire violations since October 2025.
