IDF Kills 4+ Palestinians Including Oct 7 Participant Hazem Rami Ali Aidi; Drone Strike Kills Ashqar Brothers in Gaza City — Day 199 Ceasefire

On April 26, 2026 — the 199th day of the October 10, 2025 ceasefire — Israeli forces carried out multiple strikes across Gaza, killing at least 4 Palestinians. In the al-Zaytoun neighborhood of southeast Gaza City, near the Kuwait Roundabout, a drone strike killed two brothers: Mohammad Riyad Al-Ashqar and Mohammad Ziad Al-Ashqar. Three additional Palestinians were shot by a quadcopter drone near the same area. In central Gaza, the Israel Air Force killed a Hamas cell in a targeted strike, eliminating Hazem Rami Ali Aidi — a Hamas battalion commander confirmed to have participated in the October 7, 2023 infiltration into Israel — alongside Ibrahim Mansour (platoon commander) and Maher Tantawi (Hamas military intelligence operative). The IDF stated the cell was 'planning an imminent attack' and used 'precise munitions and aerial surveillance.' A 40-year-old woman was also shot dead by Israeli forces in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Near al-Mughraq village in central Gaza, one person was killed in an air attack. The cumulative toll since the October 10, 2025 ceasefire reached at least 814 Palestinians killed and 2,267 injured, with 761 additional bodies recovered from rubble. Since October 7, 2023, the total exceeds 72,589+ killed and 172,375+ injured according to WAFA and the Gaza Health Ministry.
