Junta Column Burns 140+ Homes and Monastery in Eastern Letpadan Township

A roughly 400-troop junta column burned more than 140 homes and a monastery across Eastern Letpadan Township, Bago Region, reported September 23, 2026 — 40 homes in Taungtan Myaing Village, 20 in the Yoma area, and 82 belonging to displaced persons. A separate drone strike in the same area killed 2 civilians and injured 2 more.
