Myanmar junta forces conducting sustained aerial and naval bombardment of Sanae Township in Kyaukphyu District, Rakhine State — where the Arakan Army is actively advancing on Myanmar's most strategically sensitive port — according to CDM documentation for May 21, 2026. SAC aircraft bombed Shwe Hintha Ward in Sanae town, destroying at least 100 homes and forcing tens of thousands of civilians to flee from more than ten villages in the surrounding area.
