Resistance Kills 8 Junta Soldiers in Myingyan Outpost Raid (Mandalay); Separate Pakokku Ambush Kills 10+ SAC Troops (Magway)

| Myanmar

Resistance forces conducted two significant operations in central Myanmar on May 11, 2026, according to the MoeMaKa CDM Domestic News. In the first operation, resistance forces raided a junta outpost in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, killing eight SAC soldiers and injuring nine more while withdrawing without reported resistance casualties. Myingyan Township has seen escalating junta arson and column incursions alongside sustained resistance counteroperations — the May 11 outpost raid follows days of CDF/PDF operations in the area and demonstrates that resistance forces retain operational capacity even as the SAC attempts to depopulate villages in the township. In the second operation, resistance forces ambushed a junta military column of approximately 500 soldiers in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, killing at least 10 SAC troops. Pakokku District has been an active PDF zone throughout 2025-2026. The Pakokku ambush is separate from the May 4-5 Pauk Township operation (also Magway, 9 killed) and demonstrates the PDF's ability to engage large junta columns across multiple townships simultaneously. Together, the two May 11 operations killed 18+ SAC soldiers — a significant daily tally. Junta forces injured in the Myingyan raid were transported on civilian vehicles seized from the local population, a documented SAC practice that endangers civilians and violates IHL prohibitions on using civilian property for military purposes.
