Fifth Airspace Breach: Shahed-138 Crosses Near Caplani, Returns Within 17 Minutes

A Shahed-138-type drone entered Moldovan airspace at 04:07 local time on August 22, crossing the border near the village of Caplani in Ștefan Vodă district after approaching from the direction of Krutoiarivka in Ukraine's Odesa region during an overnight Russian strike wave. Moldova's Defence Ministry said the drone exited Moldovan airspace at 04:24, crossing back toward Ukraine near the same settlement — the fifth confirmed breach of Moldovan airspace since August 9 and the second in the Ștefan Vodă border district after the August 17 Talmaza explosion.
