Shoigu Warns of Threats to "220,000 Russian Citizens" in Transnistria

| Moldova-Transnistria

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu claimed more than 220,000 Russian citizens in Transnistria were "under threat" from Moldova and Ukraine, comparing the situation to Donbas after 2014 and asserting Russia would use "all available methods" to protect them. Moldova's Foreign Ministry rejected the claims as unfounded, saying the security situation nationwide was stable and rights of all residents were guaranteed regardless of citizenship.
