El Mayo Zambada Captured via Alleged Kidnapping

Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada García, co-founder of the Sinaloa Cartel, is lured to Huertos del Pedregal ranch outside Culiacán under the pretext of mediating a political dispute. Armed men in military-style uniforms bag him, zip-tie him, sedate him, and fly him to a New Mexico airfield near El Paso where DEA agents take custody. His two bodyguards vanish. Joaquín Guzmán López, son of El Chapo, arrives separately and surrenders voluntarily.
