Son of Jailed CJNG Cell Leader 'El R-1' Breaks Silence From Hiding on Valeria Márquez Femicide Accusations

Francisco Álvarez Solorio — son of Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, alias 'El R-1,' the CJNG 'Los Rs' cell leader arrested July 30, 2026 in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco — gave his first public interview since going into hiding, speaking with journalist Luis Chaparro (Pie de Nota) in a video published August 21, 2026. Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch has publicly linked Álvarez Solorio to the May 13, 2025 femicide of influencer Valeria Márquez, alleging he had a romantic relationship with her, threatened her repeatedly, and asked his father to order her killing after she tried to end the relationship.
