Israeli Strike Kills Hamas Finance Official and Bystander in Khan Younis; Woman Shot Dead in Bureij

An Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle in the al-Mawasi area of western Khan Younis on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, killing two Palestinian men -- Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad Abu Alwan, 33, of Rafah, and Osama Khaled Mohammad Abu Khater, of Bani Suheila -- and wounding two others. Gaza's Health Ministry and IMEMC logged the deaths on the 349th consecutive day of the nominal October 2025 ceasefire, alongside artillery shelling on Gaza City's Sikka Street, military vehicle fire in Beit Lahia, and helicopter attacks on western Rafah.
