Leavitt stated that when Trump determines Iran 'no longer poses a threat to the United States,' Iran will be in a state of 'unconditional surrender.' Despite this, Trump told reporters the conflict 'will be over soon,' mirroring his earlier comments that it was 'very far ahead of schedule.' Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and President Pezeshkian both publicly rejected any talk of surrender, with Pezeshkian calling US demands 'a dream they must take with them to the grave.'
