8th US Service Member Killed; Pentagon Confirms Total Combat Deaths

The US military confirmed an 8th American service member has been killed in the conflict as of March 10. The Pentagon has confirmed a total of 8 deaths: 6 Army Reserve personnel killed in a drone strike at a command center in Kuwait on February 28, and Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington (died March 8 from wounds sustained March 1 at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia), plus one additional casualty. More than 20 US personnel have been injured across the theater.
