Seven Protesters Killed Including Shayan Asadollahi

At least seven protesters were killed on the fourth day of unrest, including 28-year-old barber Shayan Asadollahi whose death became a rallying symbol for demonstrators. Lorestan and Ilam provinces, home to Kurdish and Luri minorities, saw the deadliest repression. Between December 31 and January 3, at least 28 people were killed in 13 cities across 8 provinces.
