Bihar Government Formally Postpones TRE-4 Exam to Finalize Single-Test Format

| India Youth Uprising

Six days after Chief Minister Choudhary's single-phase concession, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari confirms the fourth Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) is formally postponed with no new date set, so the Bihar School Examination Board can implement the unified single-test format rather than the original two-phase preliminary-and-mains design. Tiwari says 'no one should rush this process' and that a transparent, irregularity-free exam requires adequate preparation time, while criticizing opposition leaders' comments on the issue. Protesting students, who accuse the BPSC of favoring wealthier candidates and rigging results, say they will not stand down until the 70th BPSC exam itself is cancelled and renew calls for the education minister's resignation.
