India Launches Operation Sindoor — Strikes JeM/LeT Camps in Pakistan

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025, striking nine militant infrastructure targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir in response to the Pahalgam attack. Indian precision strikes hit JeM bases in Bahawalpur and LeT facilities in Muridke. Pakistan responded with artillery and drone strikes across the LOC, killing dozens on both sides. A ceasefire brokered by the US and Saudi Arabia came into effect on May 10.
