Israeli Gunfire Kills Karam al-Masar'a in Nuseirat; More Palestinians Wounded Near Khan Younis
On the morning of September 18, 2026, Israeli soldiers shot and killed Karam Mus'ad al-Masar'a on Julis Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza — the 344th consecutive day of reported ceasefire violations since the October 2025 truce. Separately, Israeli forces opened fire near Nasser Medical Complex, west of Khan Younis, wounding two more Palestinians and bringing to five the number wounded in that area since Thursday afternoon. Israeli military vehicles, a helicopter gunship and a naval vessel also fired toward areas of Khan Younis and the Rafah coast, and forces carried out explosive demolitions in the southern Gaza Strip. Since the ceasefire took effect, Gaza's Health Ministry has recorded 1,386 Palestinians killed and 4,784 wounded.
