Israeli Strikes Kill 3 Palestinians in Gaza City and Khan Younis; IDF Names Hamas Commanders Among Dead
Israeli forces killed at least three Palestinians in separate attacks across Gaza on Thursday, August 27, 2026. One person was killed and others injured in an Israeli attack on a tent sheltering displaced people west of Gaza City near the Shati refugee camp; a drone strike hit a displacement tent in the al-Mawasi area of western Khan Younis, killing one and injuring others; and a drone strike targeted an electric bicycle at the Al-Sinaa intersection in west Gaza City, killing one and critically injuring several more. The IDF said its forces separately killed Bilal Ibrahim Saleh Raqi'i, identified as a commander in Hamas's anti-tank unit, in a strike on Shati camp, and Azzam Rifaat Abd Abadala, identified as a member of Hamas's Khan Younis Brigade, in a strike on southern Gaza. The military said both had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and worked to restore Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
