Israel Expels Dutch Representatives From US-Backed Gaza Coordination Center
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar ordered Dutch representatives to leave the US-backed Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) in Kiryat Gat within one week, citing a series of 'anti-Israel' measures by the Dutch government — including legislation banning trade in products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights, set to take effect September 22, 2026. Sa'ar said 'those who act against Israel will have no foothold in the region.' The CMCC, established under the Trump Gaza peace plan, coordinates international support for the Strip; the Netherlands becomes the second country expelled from the mechanism after Israel excluded Spain in April 2026. The Netherlands has also barred Israeli ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir from entering the country and limited some arms exports.
