IDF Kills Hamas Weapons-Production Commander Abu Ful in Maghazi; Az-Zawayda Strike Kills 4-Year-Old

The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes in central Gaza on August 23, 2026. In Al-Maghazi refugee camp, a strike killed Ismail Abu Ful, whom the IDF identified as commander of a Hamas weapons-production site, saying he 'took an active part in manufacturing explosive devices and anti-tank rockets.' The IDF said the production site had been established near an aid distribution point run by an international organization. A separate strike in nearby Az-Zawayda killed a 4-year-old boy, Mohammad Abdel-Salam Taha, and wounded at least six others when shrapnel spread dozens of meters. Israeli forces also shelled areas of Khan Younis along the Yellow Line the same day, wounding several Palestinians.
