Israeli Air Strikes Kill 8 Across Gaza, Including Two Children

Israeli air strikes killed at least 8 Palestinians across Gaza on July 8, 2026, including two children aged 10 and 6. A strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis killed at least 4, including the 10-year-old. A separate strike killed one person near a school in Gaza City. A 6-year-old was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. Twelve people were wounded across the incidents. Palestinian health officials said Israeli violations of the October 2025 ceasefire had by this point killed at least 1,084 people and wounded 3,491 since the truce began; the cumulative Gaza war death toll stood at approximately 73,110 since October 2023.
