IDF Airstrike on Nuseirat Apartment Kills Three-Member Abu Mlouh Family Including 1-Year-Old Son

An Israeli airstrike struck an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza at dawn on May 24, 2026 (Day 956 of the Gaza war), killing three members of the Abu Mlouh family: a father, a mother, and their 1-year-old son. The family was among the civilians sheltering in the camp who had been displaced from other areas of Gaza. The strike on a residential building in Nuseirat continued the pattern of near-daily IDF operations across central Gaza since the security cabinet authorized war resumption on May 10. Separately, overnight strikes also struck a house in Deir al-Balah, causing extensive destruction.
