Israeli Strikes Kill Five in Gaza — Three in Jabalia, Two in Khan Younis
Israeli airstrikes killed at least five Palestinians in separate attacks across Gaza on March 31, 2026. An airstrike in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, killed at least three people; a second strike in Khan Younis in the south killed two others. Casualties were transferred to nearby hospitals. The IDF confirmed operations against individuals it identified as militants. Palestinian medics and the Gaza Government Media Office recorded both incidents. The strikes followed a pattern of continued Israeli targeted operations under the ceasefire framework, which Israel says excludes operations against active combatants and Hamas security infrastructure. Gaza's Palestine Observatory reported that 138 Palestinians were killed or wounded over the preceding 24-hour period as Israeli operations intensified in multiple governorates despite the five-month-old ceasefire.
