Israeli Knesset Passes Laws Banning UNRWA

The Israeli Knesset passes two laws banning UNRWA from operating within Israel and from coordinating with Israeli authorities, effectively ending UN relief operations through Israeli-controlled crossings. The laws take effect January 28, 2025. The UN, EU, US, and humanitarian organizations condemn the legislation as unprecedented and warn of catastrophic consequences for 2 million Palestinians dependent on UNRWA services.
