UN Security Council Adopts US-Proposed Ceasefire Framework

The UN Security Council votes 14-0 (with Russia abstaining) to adopt a resolution endorsing President Biden's three-phase ceasefire proposal. Phase 1 calls for an immediate six-week ceasefire, withdrawal from populated areas, and release of some hostages including the elderly and sick. Phase 2 would end the war permanently.
