First Ceasefire: Hamas Releases 50 Hostages for 150 Prisoners
Qatar, Egypt, and the United States broker a four-day humanitarian ceasefire. Hamas agrees to release 50 hostages (women, children, and elderly) in exchange for Israel releasing 150 Palestinian prisoners. Aid convoys enter Gaza during the pause. The deal is subsequently extended by two days. In total, 105 hostages and 240 Palestinian prisoners are exchanged before the ceasefire collapses on December 1.
