TAE Technologies Signs Helium-3 Fuel Supply Agreement with Black Moon Energy

TAE Technologies and Black Moon Energy Corporation (BMEC) announced a strategic agreement on August 5, 2026 covering a prospective helium-3 fuel supply option and commercial development collaboration for fusion power. BMEC, a privately funded natural-resource and lunar-development company, plans a robotic lunar delineation mission within five years to de-risk a commercial-scale helium-3 production operation, offering TAE an alternative fuel path to its hydrogen-boron (p-B11) aneutronic approach. TAE CEO Michl Binderbauer said the deal 'can facilitate our path to power by providing an alternative fuel supply option.' TAE's first planned fusion power plant, Da Vinci (50 MWe), targets operations in 2031, with future facilities scaling to 350–500 MWe.
